Some News...

I can finally announce, and I am very happy and proud to do so, that 140 has been Officially Selected as part of this year Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis.

I'm very excited about this. I think I've mentioned my relationship with Heartland before, but just in case you don't know - I won a Crystal Heart Award in 2006 for Emily's Song, Bill, For Short was an Official Selection in 2008 and of course, it's where I met Maryann, my wife. She was the film programmer in 2006, so if I hadn't been selected, won the award and gone, we never would have met, fell in love, got married and had Evelyn! So you can see why I have a strong connection and appreciation of the festival!

I saw "140" tonight at the Heartland Film Festival in Indy and I loved it! As a self-professed Twitter addict, I think the whole project was so unique. I had the chance to hear Biz Stone (co-founder of Twitter) talk a few weeks ago and he kept coming back to the idea of Twitter as a global unifier. The technology it's based on can be used in third world countries. I think your project echoed that sentiment as we saw the recurring themes of what "home" meant to people around the world.

Of course we all cheered when we saw the guys from Indianapolis!

Anyway, just wanted to say that I thought it was great! Thanks!

Thanks Melanie! That's great to hear! Wish I could have been there to talk about the film, but glad you all enjoyed it!
